About Me

Hi I’m James Bolster, nice to meet you!

For the last 15 years, my passion in life has been playing guitar!

In that time, I’ve watched and learned from some of the greatest guitar players in the world, and in a way, I believe they’ve been like my “teachers” (although I did have some pretty good teachers in person too!)

Now, even though I started from the very start, just like everyone else, I now consider myself a pretty good guitar player, and I want to show you how I did it

But it wasn’t always this way…

When I first started playing guitar, I really struggled to make progress, especially in the early stages. It seemed like nothing I did, and no amount of practice, would enable me to become the guitarist that I always wanted to be.

I would buy countless books, DVD courses (when they were still a thing!) online programs and in person lessons and still I wasn’t achieving results. (My main issues were not being able to play the songs I wanted to play because they were too “advanced” for me, which was super frustrating and constantly hitting ‘dud’ notes becuase my fingers weren’t strong enough to hold down strings!)

That is until I started to understand exactly what it is the great players of our time are doing and how they’re approaching they’re instrument differently.

In a nutshell, they play with FREEDOM but also with CONTROL.

These are the two (almost contradictory) elements that make up a great guitar player – and there is no reason you can’t get access to them too!

So what’s this site all about?
